Please be aware that some of these charities do not soley focus on children and cancer. Also please take note of their financial information. We have provided this information so you can make an informed decision knowing how much of your donation is really being spent on helpful programs and how much is being spent on overhead expenses.
National Children's Cancer Society, Inc. To improve the quality of life for children with cancer by providing direct financial aid, emotional support and advocacy support, and to reduce the risk of children's cancer through education and prevention programs. Organization Mission The National Children's Cancer Society seeks to improve a child's chance of surviving cancer by providing direct financial aid and emotional support to children with cancer and their families. We believe that children with cancer will receive the most consistent medical care when their parents can focus on them, rather than the additional burdens caused by cancer. Financial aid includes assistance with lodging, meals, long distance phone calls, transportation, child care, rent, mortgage, etc. Families are required only to show that they have financial need during their child's treatment, regardless of their ability to pay before the child's diagnosis.
